Convergence is one of the main trends of this decade: Systems, technologies are merged or developed in a common direction. After the very successful first CKME Workshop 2007 in Potsdam, we would like to proceed on this current topic. Thereby, we would like to keep up the discussion concerning the integration of concepts, processes, and systems for the fields of knowledge management and e-learning.
The workshop mainly focuses on two issues: a) how can knowledge, learning and business processes be integrated, and b) how can the related systems be integrated to enable an efficient workflow. With regard to recent research and application projects the second CKME Workshop will moreover focus on the adoption and diffusion of corresponding approaches. How can knowledge, learning and business processes as well as the related systems be designed and interrelated for successful adoption and diffusion? We appreciate submissions from all areas contributing to the development and application of convergent systems.
